A seasoned performer, inspirational teacher and exotic personality, Sharon Kihara is known the world over for her avant-garde and slightly eccentric artistry, as well as for her skillful, graceful and powerful technique. She comes from a strong background in western dance, beginning with Ballet, Modern and Jazz. But her true love came in the form of Bellydance. Restoring the connection between healing arts and performing arts, Sharon digs deep into the roots and origins of tribal dance. Open to new quests into the essence of fusion bellydance, Sharon Kihara's dance style never ceases to re-invent the magic of oriental dance. Nothing more than watching her performance make you aware of the beautiful, transcendental changes that occur in the lives of those who embark on the journey that is Bellydance. |
