Kimberly Mackoy

Belly hop: a mix of belly dancing music and hiphop

Kimberly-Mackoy (22K)

As young girl, Kimberly started with ballet lessons.

London based, Kimberly began studying tribal fusion belly dance under Rachel Brice over seven years ago.
During the time Kimberly lived in San Francisco, particulary in the S. Francisco Bay area, she started to learn from Frédérique David, Jill Parker, Carolena Nericcio of Fat Chance Belly Dance and Suhaila Salimpour. Their lessons formed her like for Fusion belly dance style. Now performing and teaching internationally, Kimberly shares stages with the finest dancers in the art of fusion belly dance.
Her style blends modern and ancient dance elements to transcend the usual boundaries around regions and moments in time. The influences are truly international, coming together in the gaze of a creative eye that integrates them into something fresh and entirely unexpected.

In London Kimberly Mackoy met Lily, Hannah and Jesse, and laid the basis for London’s first tribal fusion troupe Atalanta founded by Jesse, Hannah and Kimberly.
